Welly Yang

Wellington Yang (Chinese traditional: 楊呈偉, Pinyin: Yang Ch'engwei) is a Taiwanese American actor, playwright, and singer. He has starred in the Broadway shows Miss Saigon and Aladdin. Yang has also appeared in numberous television shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, As the World Turns, National Geographic Explorer and Ghostwriter. He is the founder and artistic director of Second Generation, an Asian American non-profit theater company. He is active in the Taiwanese American community and works closely with the Taiwanese United Fund (TUF).
Finding Home is a musical concert tracing the story of his parents, which premiered at UCLA’s Royce Hall in 2005 and went on to play at Taiwan’s National Concert Hall and Vancouver’s Explorasian Festival in 2006.
He married Dina Morishita, a fellow theatre actor in July 2005.
