Wendigomon is an Animal Digimon, the tainted Champion form of Lopmon. He is also known as Wendimon in Japan and Endigomon in the American movie. When the film was shown in America, promotional cards were given out; these cards had a printing error referring to the creature as "Endigomon". Future English version sources refer to it correctly as Wendigomon. His name is derived from the devilish cannibal monster, called the Wendigo, of Algonquian mythology.

[edit] Digimon Hurricane Touchdown/Supreme Evolution! The Golden Digi-Eggs
Three years before, Kokomon mysteriously disappeared before his twin brother, Terriermon, in the form of Gummymon and their partner, Willis' eyes. Over time, consumed by his loneliness, he slowly Digivolved to Wendigomon. By the summer of 2002, Wendigomon began abducting anyone with the same kind of Digivice that Willis had. As a result, Tai and other veteran DigiDestined disappeared without a trace. Willis and Terriermon battled with him a lot before encountering T.K. and Kari and their Digimon, Patamon and Gatomon, who were visiting Mimi at the time she was abducted.
Willis started out to Colorado, where Wendigomon would be waiting for him. T.K. and Kari contact from their teammates Davis, Yolei and Cody, along with their Digimon partners DemiVeemon, Poromon and Upamon to come to America. When the trio met up with Willis while hitchhiking, they needed to get to his Colorado house by getting there via pizza delivery.
But Willis and Davis missed the ride and were attacked by Wendigomon. He defeated Flamedramon and fled after taking a beating from Gargomon. Later on, the group encountered him in the place where Willis used to play with him. Finally recognizing Willis, he wanted nothing more than be with him like the old days. But when he smacked Terriermon aside for interrupting, Willis refused to get along with Wendigomon. This enraged the Digimon as he Digivolved to Antylamon.
