Western Australian general election, 1993

Elections to the Parliament of Western Australia were held on Saturday, 6 February 1993. All seats in the Legislative Assembly and all of the four-year seats in the Legislative Council were up for election. The Liberal-National Coalition led by Richard Court defeated the incumbent Australian Labor Party led by Carmen Lawrence.

The Western Australian Legislative Assembly consists of 57 members, elected in single-member electorates by preferential Instant-runoff voting.

The Western Australian Legislative Council consists of 34 members, elected for fixed four-year terms. Each member is elected using a proportional and preferential voting system using the single transferable vote method, and represents one of six multi-member regions. Two of the regions elect seven members, while four elect five.

In the Western Australian Legislative Assembly:

the Liberal Party of Australia won 26 seats
the Australian Labor Party won 24 seats
the National Party of Australia won 6 seats

Independent candidates (those not affiliated to any party) won 1 seat.

Elections were held for all seats in the Western Australian Legislative Council:

the Australian Labor Party won 14 seats
the Liberal Party of Australia won 15 seats
the National Party of Australia won 3 seats
the Greens WA won a seat

One independent won a seat.
