"What's Simple Is True" is one of the more quieter singles released by Jewel. The song received little if no airplay and was not promoted like her previous singles from Spirit. The single was the fourth single taken from the album and also the debut single from the original motion picture soundtrack Ride With The Devil starring Tobey Maguire and Jewel. The single again received new vocals and a more pop tune for commercial release. A commercial single was never released, however the single mix can be found on the soundtrack of the movie. The single is credited as either the ‘single mix’ or the ‘radio remix’.
