Talk:Whipped rope
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm sorta new to wikipedia, so I'm not sure what the best course of action is, but the section of this article called "Whipping natural fiber rope" would be a great place to insert a link to/or combine with the article Common_whipping. Will investigate what to do and perhaps do something myself in a bit...

- Excellent idea. (Why didn't I think of that...) I'd suggest you take the Whipped rope information en move it (suitably edited) over to Common whipping since the latter is the older article. The Whipped rope page may then be turned into a Redirect. --JohJak2 19:13, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

- Actually with some additional looking I found Whipping knot, which is both a more general and older page than even Common Whipping. Plus, the Common whipping article is technically an article for a particular knot rather than whipping in general. Perhaps it would be better to see what here might be useful to move over to Whipping knot and redirect there... --Dfred 20:38, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Whatever you like... --JohJak2 22:37, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
