[edit] Photographer
A close-up image of yourself taking a self-portrait illustrates vanity pretty well, but most photographers take most of their pictures of something or someone else, so it does little to illustrate the Photographer article. See also Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. Rklawton 03:01, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Self portraits constitute vanity. Images of other people do not, and classifying such as "vanity" violates WP:CIVIL. If you want to edit here, you're going to have to change your attitude to get along. If not, you'll find your account eventually blocked. Rklawton 13:15, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Vanity: Vanity is the excessive belief in one's own abilities or attractiveness to others. So in this case it's your excessive belief in you ability to take photographs and your way of judging others'. The term is right. By the way, you violated WP:CIVIL: Judgmental tone in edit summaries. That's how it all started.Wikifrikiuser 17:04, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

- I see. So you post a self-portrait taken with a mirror and then your feelings were hurt because I noted it was a vanity photo in the edit summary? If nothing else, at least your funny. Rklawton 17:35, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
