Wikipedia:WikiProject KYOVA Region

WikiProject KYOVA Region began on September 27, 2006 to coordinate work and expand coverage of the region marked from Portsmouth, Ohio southeast, encompassing Ironton, Ohio, Ashland, Kentucky, and east towards Huntington, West Virginia. It is not strictly defined by those borders, so any regional supporters, such as Teays Valley, West Virginia, for instance, can be included.
Anyone who is interested in contributing, please sign up below and discuss any ideas/suggestions or leave comments on the talk page. If you feel that any articles need attention or need some TLC, please feel free to add them to the tasks section below.

This WikiProject aims to coordinate development of and improvements to articles related to the "tri-state" region of Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia.
This includes, but is not limited to the counties of:
- Scioto County, Ohio
- Lawrence County, Ohio
- Greenup County, Kentucky
- Boyd County, Kentucky
- Carter County, Kentucky
- Lawrence County, Kentucky
- Wayne County, West Virginia
- Cabell County, West Virginia
- Putnam County, West Virginia
This also includes, but again is not limited to the cities of:
- Portsmouth, Ohio
- New Boston, Ohio
- Sciotoville, Ohio
- Ironton, Ohio
- Ashland, Kentucky
- Russell, Kentucky
- Grayson, Kentucky
- Louisa, Kentucky
- Kenova, West Virginia
- Ceredo, West Virginia
- Huntington, West Virginia
The project is aimed at improving the articles regarding those within the project's scope, and to create new articles for related subjects that are not in existance as of yet.
This project is open to anyone.

- I expanded upon Htgn Institutions but there are some redlinks. I can't tell if some, like the MU Medical Center, are part of Cabell-Huntington or if it deserves its own seperate page.

[edit] Specific needs
- Expand the park/outdoor attractions section of Huntington, West Virginia.
- Expand or renovate Ironton, Ohio and Portsmouth, Ohio. I've reorganised it in accordance to other city pages, such as Louisville, Huntington, Lexington, and Cincinnati. More work needs to be done in the way of expansion and cleanup.

- Ashland, Kentucky: Expanded nearly every section, esp. history; reconstructed the Police Controversies section per notice; added Cityscape of Ashland, Kentucky.
- King's Daughters Medical Center: Added the page with extensive, sourced history. Future section could stand to have more, though.
