The U.S. roads shields subproject creates and maintains shields for use on road transport related articles, and is responsible for ensuring that shields are created as prototypical as possible. Any state is welcome here.

- TwinsMetsFan - creator of subproject (though I'll admit the idea for this project wasn't mine =) ). I can make shields for county roads, and U.S., PA, NY, WV, among other, routes.
- • master_sonLets talk - MT, SD, NE, WI, IA, MN.
- Holderca1 - I can make shields for FL, IN, LA, ND, TN, and TX highways. See my shield page: User:Holderca1/Shields.
- Vishwin60 - any shield, anywhere.
- Sable232 - Finished off MN shields, created nearly all ND shields, several MB shields, working on county roads now.
- Northenglish – Primarily county, also NJ, LA, OR, WA
- Jeff02 - Did all MD state highway shields 0-999 and other Maryland-related shields. Will be glad to any others that anyone wants done (just point me to the specs).

- Set up the basic design of the subproject.
- Find official design specs (if possible) for every U.S. state and post these specs.
- Create a directory of users who specialize in creating shields, so that users who do not want to create shields know where to ask for shields.
