How have people worked together to improve quality?
This project ties together inventors, engineers, managers and other heroes who have improved "quality" in its myriad aspects.
- W. Edwards Deming - used statistics and "quality control" to help MacArthur rebuild Japan after World War II
- Hawthorne effect - showed that merely paying attention to the problem (or the people involved with it) sometimes helps more than anything else.
- Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance - Pirsig's main character went crazy trying to come to grips with quality
- Be nice to the vandals - attempt to formulate ways of improving working conditions for Wikipedia's myriads of volunteer writers
