The third single from the album, "Wishing I Was There", was released on 31 May 1998 and contained the b-side "Why", co-written by Imbruglia herself and one of the album's producers, Matt Bronleewee.

The song unfortunately failed to emulate its predecessor's success peaking at number 19 in the UK chart, and 24 in Australia.
However, "Wishing I Was There" was a summer smash hit in the USA. Despite the most added song on the radio for 2 consecutive weeks in July- August, it only peaked at No. 13 in Billboard Top 40.
