World War Hulk is a comic book crossover event, published by Marvel Comics and scheduled to begin in May 2007.[1] It was announced by Joe Quesada in 2006 that the Hulk will be the focus of the event.[2] The main events of this story will unfold within the five-issue World War Hulk miniseries by Greg Pak and John Romita Jr. The events in the ongoing The Incredible Hulk series will set up certain elements of World War Hulk.[1]
The story revolves around the Hulk's return to Earth following his exile at the hands of The Illuminati. One promotional image suggests that he might be seeking revenge against them.[1]
