A middle-aged male, I've spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, but have lived briefly in Texas, New Mexico and Hawaii. My interests are the natural and physical sciences, the Washington region, and occasionally current events. My education is in physics and astronomy, but my professional experience has been in mechanical, optical and electrical engineering. I have added over 500 images to Wikimedia Commons and I participate in the protected areas WikiProject.
