"You" is a single from R&B artist Lloyd featuring rapper Lil Wayne and was produced by Big Reese and recorded in the producer's basement as well, the song is from Lloyd's second studio album, entitled Street Love. Lloyd himself has reported that he leaked the song out to an Atlanta radio station to receive airplay[1]. This song samples Spandau Ballet's song "True." A remix of this song featuring Andre 3000 and Nas was also released[2], though the remix more heavily samples "True" than the original. On February 8, 2007 "You" became Lloyd's first and Lil Wayne's second top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100 charting at number 9. The video was inducted into 106 video hall of fame, after spending 65 days on the countdown. Broken down futher, the video spent 34 days at #1 on 106 & Park.
The music video featured D.Woods of Danity Kane as the leading lady.
