Yuki Muto

On January 5, 2007 in Tokyo, Japan, a 21-year-old Yuki Muto (勇貴武藤) confessed to beating his 20-year-old sister Azumi Muto (亜澄武藤) unconscious with a wooden sword, strangling her with a towel, then dismembering her body with the same sword. He hid the body parts in various places in his room in Hatagaya.
Despite the horrific nature of the crime, what caught the media attention was the circumstances surrouding the crime. Yuki Muto was a young man who failed repeatedly to pass college entrance exams. He claims he was bothered by his younger sister Azumi teasing him about being a failure and telling him that he had "no ambition" in life. It was apparently the talk of him having no ambition that prompted him to murder his sister.
Azumi herself was a pin-up model and aspiring actress for an agency in Tokyo. Her stage name, which she had chosen herself, was Kakeru Takamine. Her final performance, as that of a nurse, took place on December 10th, 2006. She apparently had told her friends that there were problems in the family regarding her brother's mental state a few days before the murder took place.
Jealous over his sister's success, which he attributed her use of her appearance, Yuki made a point of slicing off his sister's breasts and genitals after he killed her and putting them through the garbage disposal in the sink. He claimed that it was in order to hide her gender after the police found the body.
Muto's father and mother were both dentists and he was brought up in a relatively affluent environment. He claims this pressure contributed to his psychotic stress.
