Yuriy Geletyuk

Yuriy Geletyuk (1943- ) (Ukrainian: Юрій Гелетюк) is a Ukrainian composer, teacher, and conductor. He arranged numerous christian songs for children. He also wrote a piece for orchestra called Podils'ka Fantasia (Ukrainian: подільська фантазія).
Yuriy Geletyuk was born on September 26, 1943 in Dederkaly, Ukraine, which is located in Western Ukraine. He worked in Ukraine as the director of the Music School in Husiatyn for over 20 years.
In 1991 he, and his wife Irina Geletyuk, visited his mother in Sacramento, California. However at this time his first grandaughter, also Irina Geletyuk, was born and he went back to Ukraine, only to return in 1996 for permanent residence. His two children and their spouses, and his four grandchildren live in Sacramento and Roseville California.
Yuriy Geletyuk has now opened a music school called the Young Talents. It has expanded to many teachers and has numerous students. He continues teaching music to students.
