Z71 is an off road suspension package made by General Motors. This option first appeared on the 1988 to 1998 generation Chevy/GMC trucks. And is continued to the 1999 to present trucks. It will be continued on the next generation 2007 pick-ups. It is a special off-road 4X4 package for Chevy/GMC Trucks/SUV's that adds off-road shocks, skid plates, a limited-slip differential, and a high-capacity air cleaner. It will be included on two wheel drive models on the next generations in late 2006.
