Zachary Thomas Hilton (born July 2, 1980) is an American football player who is currently a free agent.

Zach Hilton played all four years of his collegiate career at North Carolina, starting at tight end in his junior and senior seasons. He played defense in his freshman and sophomore year. He recorded 31 receptions for 346 yards and three touchdowns. He was named the North Carolina Most Improved Player in his senior year because of his 19 grabs for one touchdown and 258 yards. He received a degree in history.

[edit] 2003 Season
Hilton made the final roster as an undrafted free agent. Despite being inactive for 11 games, Zach Hilton did play in three games. In the preseason, he made four catches for 91 yards and led the team.

Hilton also made the final roster this season but was deemed inactive and eventually fell to practice squad. He was back on the roster by week 13 of the regular season but was still inactive.

Zach Hilton broke out in the 2005 season. He finally played nearly a season (15 games) and also started six times. He caught 35 passes for 396 yards and one touchdown after Ernie Conwell went down. Hilton caught a career-high 29 yard reception versus against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Despite being projected as a potential weapon in the Saint's new offense, Hilton was suprisingly cut from the team before the 2006 season. He was prompty picked up by the New York Jets, but made no appearances. He was cut by the Jets in November.

Zach Hilton attended Good Counsel high school in Wheaton, Maryland, where his father, Tom Hilton, was the physical education coach. Hilton spent time with the community in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
