Zil-e-Huma Usman

Zil-e-Huma Usman (16 September 1971–Gujranwala, 20 February 2007) was a Pakistani politician. At the time of his death, she was the Minister of Social Welfare in the state of Punjab.
She graduated with a law degree in 1997 and political science in 1998 from University of Punjab in Lahore. She was elected as a senator in 2002 and went on to become a minister in December 2006.
On 20 February 2007, she was walking to the podium to deliver a speech in Gujranwala when an unknown sniper shot him. Usman was one of the three most senior members of the Muslim League, and a close friend of President Pervez Musharraf.
