[edit] RFA Removed
I wanted to let you know that I removed your nomination from the RFA main page. Further opposition would only lead to hurt feelings. I encourage you to take the advice of those who opposed you. I'd like to see you run again in the future once those issues are addressed. Please remember that they aren't elections. They are comments from users on whether or not your behavior matches that of an administrator. Acetic'Acid 17:16, September 2, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] pictures in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones article
Hi -- I've never used Wikipedia much before, so I have no idea if this is the right place for this sort of comment, but I'll give it a try: As someone who's currently happily addicted to "Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones" for the GBA, I have been thoroughly enjoying your Wikipedia article on the game -- it's been a great reference. I also enjoy the images you've posted as part of that article -- Lyon, Knoll, & Vigarde with the Dark Stone; Eirika & Ephraim with the Demon King; etc. -- and would love to use one or more of them as wallpaper if I can find them in the right size. Unfortunately, I haven't yet been able to turn up those images anywhere on the web other than this Wikipedia page, and in small size. Do you happen to know where one might be able to find any of them in wallpaper size? What was your source for those images, exactly?
Thanks very much, and keep up the great work!

You have many images listed as being un-sourced. See User:Pearle/by-author-Category:Images_with_unknown_source.txt for a nice, wikified list of them. (Search for your name). [edit] Metroid II title screen
I've replaced the Metroid II: Return of Samus title screen you uploaded (Image:102938475657.jpg) with a PNG version (Image:Metroid2 title.png). The new file is 91% smaller and is losslessy compressed. I've listed the original for deletion, hope this is OK. Mysid (talk) 12:09, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] WP:MIND
Hello. Round four of Wikipedia Mind Benders will open on Thursday, December 1. This round will be drastically different from round three; part one will consist of a creative project, and part two will be developed from there. The full details will be released when the round opens. Time and speed should not be major factors in this round; thus, there is no exact opening time for the round as speed will not factor into the scoring. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 22:51, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
P.S. Please add Wikipedia:Mind Benders/to do to your watchlist to receive further announcements; the NotificationBot is currently down and all notifications will be placed on that page. Sorry for any inconvenience.

[edit] Corpse Humping
Hi. I saw your name all over the history list for Halo: Combat Evolved, so I am seeking your expert opinion. What do you think of the article Corpse Humping? It appears to be too trivial to stand alone, but I don't know if it's worth merging somewhere. Any ideas? Joyous | Talk 20:32, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Why did you do this?
You changed Halo 2 PC to a redirect without checking out the talk page. This is an important topic and you treat this like nothing. Check before you leap. --Weirdperson11 22:03, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism???
[1]. Revert vandalism? Sheesh. Just because I'm an anon doesn't mean I'm malicious. Would it have killed you to crack open a dictionary? Or even consult the very article linked to?
This is no big, but remember to assume good faith. Anons ain't necessarily wrong. 82.92.119.11 01:07, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
Quoting from the article you cited " Merriam-Webster and other dictionaries accept octopi as a plural form. The Oxford English Dictionary lists octopuses, octopi, and octopodes (the order reflecting decreasing frequency of use), stating that the last form is rare. " So both forms are correct then.--Zxcvbnm 01:37, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
- First: no, both forms are not correct. Dictionaries consider octopi acceptable because enough people get it wrong, which is not quite the same thing.
- Second: I think you missed my main point, which is not about octopuses or octopi or any other sea creatures. Don't accuse people of vandalism when they're not vandalizing; it's terribly disheartening. Vandalism is wilful and malicious defacement of an article. Whatever plural of "octopus" is acceptable, my edit clearly didn't qualify. 82.92.119.11 02:06, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
I wasn't fishing for an apology, but thanks anyway. :-) Just be careful in the future. 82.92.119.11 02:21, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Picture deletion warning
In three or four days I will begin deleting the 20 or 30 fair use pictures on Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. I noticed you uploaded some, and so I'm giving you notice of my intention; this way you have some time to add fair use rationale to a few of them. (Personally, I'd split off the character list into something like Minor characters from Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword or just Minor characters from Fire Emblem). --Maru (talk) Contribs 00:03, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] {{web-screenshot}} tag
I've noticed you've uploaded some images tagged with {{web-screenshot}}. This tag is not meant to be used for images that came from Web pages; it's meant to be used for images of Web pages (such as Image:Wikipedia.PNG, for example). I've retagged the images below as having no license information. Please edit the image description pages to include information about the licenses these images are under. —Bkell 01:23, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding reversion to Zerging
Can you explain why you reverted my edits to the article? I don't want to get into an edit war. There is an article that has exactly the same content as Zerging called Zergling rush. I removed some content and linked to the article that has all the content per normal Wikipedia standards. You reverted it without explanation. Can I get an explanation? Thanks. Thanks to the article improvement drive, I was reminded that I had been neglecting this article. I hope you like what I have done to the landscape.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Brutehalo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Brutehalo.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Longhair 07:32, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

Do you want to make a note of the completion of the merge Flames of Enlightenment and Ori (Stargate)?

[edit] Request for edit summary
Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 16% for major edits and 33% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 150 minor edits outside the Wikipedia, User, Image, and all Talk namespaces.)
This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear inpolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 04:23, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Myrrh.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Myrrh.gif. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

[edit] Songhua Stalemate
I know the general guideline on Wikipedia is to be bold, but I think its taking it too far when you remove/merge an article without asking for any consensus. I didnt write the Songhua Stalemate article just to have it deleted without any option for input on the decision, so I would appreciate it if you would put up an Article for Deletion request if you insist on removing it. Thanks. Remy B 08:31, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stuy page merger
You have proposed to merge Stuyvesant High School student body to the page Stuyvesant High School. Why? Looking through edit history, that page was created because the Stuy page was too long. Presently the Stuy Page is 30 something kb and there is no real reason to merge the pages. Niffweed17, Destroyer of Chickens 02:03, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edits to Article Point of Existence and your requests for deletion
Just so you know what this is about, I am one of the developers at the Point of Existence modification team, we have been working on and watching this articles progress for some time now and have recently noticed that it was proposed for deletion by yourself, the burning question on all of our team members lips at this moment is Why? we also see you made 2 edits to the article prior to the deletion proposal. Digging further we also see a long and very colourful history of you editing and interfering in the articles of others without their knowledge or consent which leads us to believe you have malicious intent. I am hereby requesting that you refrain from editing the article "Point of Existence" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_of_Existence) from this point on for any reason regardless of our consent.

[edit] Image:Arbiter1.jpg listed for deletion
ˉˉanetode╞┬╡ 06:44, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I noticed that you are objecting to the deletion of this image. Please note that use of copyrighted images with permission is not allowed on Wikipedia since hosted images may be used by third parties who may choose to use these images commercially. If you could ask the author to re-license this image under the GFDL, or like free-use license, that will eliminate any copyright concerns. Alternately, the image might be used if there is an applicable fair use rationale. However, unless you have some correspondence from the image author that indicates otherwise, this image is copyrighted and not GFDL. Check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use for more info. ˉˉanetode╞┬╡ 04:32, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Multiplayer in Halo: Combat Evolved
Hi Zxcvbnm, I noticed that you moved List of multiplayer maps in Halo to Multiplayer in Halo: Combat Evolved. It looks as if you just cut and pasted the text from the old article to the new. A better solutioni s to use the "move" button, as this preserves the edit history of the article. I've tagged the new article and its talk page with {{db-histmerge}} so that an administrator can merge the edit histories. By the way, good work on those articles; they're looking better. — TKD::Talk 15:25, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

I originally nominated that article for speedy deletion, but evidently he has actually has a cult following and my nomination was removed by an admin. [edit] Path of Radiance characters
Several of us had already discussed how to organize the Path of Radiance characters at length, and you went ahead and completely destroyed both the character section of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance article and its relevant character list. That was excessively rude of you to just jump in without checking the talk page or asking anyone what was preferred. I'd appreciate it if you revert all of your edits to those pages. --Hailinel 17:10, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
