Beastie Boys es un grupo de hip-hop neoyorquino compuesto actualmente por Adam Yauch (MCA), Mike Diamond (Mike D) y Adam Horovitz (Adrock), aunque otros músicos han formado parte del grupo desde que se fundó en 1979.
Kate Schellenbach (batería) y John Berry (guitarrista) habían formado parte del grupo antes de grabar su primer disco. Su primer LP fue producido por el legendario Rick Rubin. Han salido de gira con grupos como A Tribe Called Quest, House of Pain, Cypress Hill, Run-DMC, y otros grandes.
Michael Schwartz (Mixmaster Mike) fue el DJ en el disco que los lanzó al éxito. También han tocado con los Beastie Boys Mark Ramos-Nishita (Money Mark, teclista),Wendell Fite (DJ Hurricane, DJ) Eric Bobo (percusión), Amery Smith (AWOL, batería), Mario Caldato Junior (Mario C, productor), John King y Mike Simpson (The Dust Brothers, productores).
