A statue representing Leandro Alem, intellectual and politician, founder of the Radical Civic Union, in Rosario, Argentina. The broken iron rod stands for the motto of the party, Se rompe pero no se dobla ("It breaks but it does not bend", a statement of commitment to principles). The statue is located in the large park dedicated to him (Parque Alem), in the north-east of Rosario, near the Paraná River. Author: sculptor Guillermo Gianninazzi.
