Falange Boricua
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Falange Boricua (Puerto Rican Falange) is a minor falangist movement in Puerto Rico.
The FB supports the fostering of a Spanish identity to be coupled with an independent Puerto Rico. It rejects both capitalism and Marxism and seeks to end the influence of the United States on the island. The movement also avowedly rejects racism and Fascism. It maintains links with other Falangist groups in Spain and Venezuela.
The movement was declared illegal on 7th May 2000 after leader Walter Lozano was arrested attempting to blockade US military bases on the island [1]. The movement was officially dissolved soon after this incident, although it has since re-emerged [2].
