Falmer Railway Station is operated by Southern and lies on the East Coastway Line.
The station serves the village of Falmer as well as the University of Sussex campus and the University of Brighton Falmer Campus. It is also intended to serve Falmer Stadium, the new home of Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. planned for Falmer (subject to planning approval). The buildings on the down (eastbound) platform side include a well-preserved, unusual example of a signal-box.
