The Falkirk Council area is made up of parts of the former Counties of Stirlingshire and West Lothian (Linlithgowshire), it is a unitary authority. Do traditional counties actually exist anymore? Fraslet 17:08, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

- Counties were abolished at least 20 years ago, and are now only used for postal purposes. The area is simply now a council area. Johnx4 16:12, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
