Farnsworth method

The Farnsworth method of learning Morse code is essentially using Morse code letters sent at a higher speed, but using larger spaces between letters and words. Sending letters at higher speeds discourages the learner from hearing distinct dots and dashes, and analysing them too closely. Instead, the dots and dashes that make up each letter are perceived as a single unit. This makes it easier to learn Morse code.
Farnsworth timing, as it is also called, is named for Donald R. "Russ" Farnsworth, also known by his call sign, W6TTB.
