Farragut High School

Farragut High School is a high school located in Farragut, Tennessee, a suburb of Knoxville, Tennessee. It is part of the unified Knox County, Tennessee school district.
The original Farragut, the first consolidated high school in Knox County, was built in 1904 across the street from its current location on land currently occupied by a supermarket and strip mall. Up until the late 1990s, the original stadium lights could still be seen behind the supermarket at the original location. The school was moved to its current location on a hill overlooking Farragut in 1976.
The name of the school comes from a civil war hero, Admiral David Glasgow Farragut, known for his famous quote "damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead." The school mascot is the Admiral and the school colors are blue and silver. The football jerseys look like like those of the 1990 Dallas Cowboys. The school prides itself on quality education offering more Advanced Placement classes than any other public school in the Knox County School System and has a diverse set of extracurricular activities ranging from acting to orchestra to lacrosse.
The school paper was known for year's as the Crow's Nest but was recently changed to the The Anchor.
The current principal is Michael Reynolds.
