Greg comes home and thinks that the Hughes are away until he is told that Jimmy parked down the street. Greg wants to build a jungle gym for Sam. Christine and Kim’s father, Don shows up to visit. Don asks Greg if he is sick. Don says he took early retirement and gets free airfare. Greg says Tom is too young to retire. Don asks Greg if he thinks he lazy. Greg is angry because Don hates him. Kim says Don likes to kid around. She tells him to just be the bigger person. Don makes fun of Greg for ordering Omaha Steaks. Don offers Greg a strawberry. When Kim says he is allergic Don makes fun of him. Christine tells Greg that Don picks on him because he doesn’t respect him. Greg says he isn’t like Jimmy because he provides for his family. Christine say that doesn’t matter because Jimmy fixes things around the house instead of calling someone. Don sees Greg’s jungle gym brochure. Don says he can make one cheaper. Greg says he is going to build one tomorrow. Don offers to help, but Greg turns him down.
The next morning, Greg can’t figure out how to use the drill. Don asks Greg to come to the San Diego Zoo with them. Jimmy asks Greg to tell Christine that he needs his help so he doesn’t have to go to the zoo. Greg says he doesn’t need his help. Greg is trying to put the final piece up, but he can’t lift it up. He uses a rope to lift it, but it breaks trapping him underneath. Jimmy discovers Greg lying on the ground. Greg yells at Jimmy and Don to help him up. Don tells Greg he used the wrong screws. Dominic jumps on top of Greg.
The night, Greg tells Kim that Don is not allowed to come again. Greg finds Jimmy soaking in his bathtub. Jimmy tells Greg that he is making a big deal about this. Greg tells Jimmy he doesn’t care because Don respects him. Jimmy tells Greg that Don acts that way because he feels threatened by Greg because he provides for Kim like he used to do and Greg never asks for his help. Jimmy says he gives back to Don by taking from him. Jimmy tells him he already won. Greg asks Don for help on the jungle gym. Greg tells Don he knows he is insecure. Don attacks Greg leaving Jimmy to break them up.
