Fatmir Limaj

Fatmir Limaj (born in February 4, 1971 in the village of Banjë, Mališevo municipality, then part of Yugoslavia) is a politician from Kosovo, a Serbian province currently under UN administration. He is a member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).
During the 1999 Kosovo War, Limaj was a member of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). After the war he was one of the founders of what is now Kosovo`s second largest political party, the Democratic Party of Kosovo. In 2003, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) charged him, Isak Musliu and Haradin Balaj with war crimes against Serbs and suspected Albanian cooperating with Serbs during the Kosovo War. In November 2005, Limaj was acquitted by the ICTY, and was received by Albanians in Kosovo as a hero.
Today, Fatmir Limaj, is again active in politics.
