Fazogli

Fazogli (Arabic: فازوجلي), or Fazokl, was a district in colonial Egypt under British rule. It lay on the border of present day Sudan and Ethiopia. The area formed the foothills of the Ethiopian Highlands and traversed the Blue Nile. It was roughly situated in the former province of Welega in Sudan. To the west slope of the hills drains the White Nile. The area is rich in gold deposits. Its inhabitants were governed by Sudanese administration.
