FC Dinamo Tbilisi (Georgian: დინამო თბილისი) is the football team of Dinamo Tbilisi, playing in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.
It was one of the strongest teams in the Soviet era, when the club was a part of the All-Union Dynamo sports society; its main claim to European fame was winning the Cup Winners' Cup in 1981, beating Carl Zeiss Jena of East Germany 2-1 in the final in Düsseldorf.
Arguably its most famous victory in its history was the 3:0 win over Liverpool on October 3, 1979, in the first round of the European Cup.
