A photograph taken of the back of the shielded pickguard on a 1981 Fender Lead I. This picture shows the pickup, two switches (with the red backs), volume, tone, and output jack. One switch is a 3 way Single/Humbucker/Single pickup switch, and the other changes between a parallel and a series circuit for the humbucker position. There are also two grounding wires shown on the bottom left; one goes to the bridge, and the other appears to go to shielding beneath the routing.
