[edit] ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS

1. To upload picture/s - It is best to upload them at Commons which is the shared repository of media in Wikipedia. Pictures uploaded here can be used in the different wikipedias - English, Dutch, Cebuano, Chavacano, etc., instead of just the English wiki.

• Go to http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
• Login/ Create acccount (upper right hand corner) - preferrably the same username as the English wiki, may or may not be the same password
• Click upload file (on the left side)
• Browse - for the file you want to upload
• Open
• Copy and paste this below inside the Summary box

{{Information |Description= |Source= |Date= |Author= |Permission= |other_versions= }}

• fill it in with the info

Example below: {{Information |Description=picture of the CKS Chapel |Source=own work |Date=January 24, 2007 |Author=Fielsvd |Permission={{:PD-self}} |other_versions= }}==Licensing==

PD-self

Note 1: PD-self means it is self created and released to the public domain Note 2: I will explain the other licenses later. For now, since it is your own work anyway, it is best to release it to public domain

Click upload file and you are done

2. To place in the article: Click edit this page (in the article) get the image name: for example: Image:fielsvd.jpg Copy and paste this in the article in this way: [[Image:fielsvd.jpg|thumb|right|100px|caption]] Click Save Bingo!

right or left 100px is the size (which you can adjust - 200px, 300px ,etc)

3. To place photos in a Gallery - check out my gallery in my user page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Pinay06 You just place all your image inside this: <gallery> Image:-----.jpg Image: -----.jpg </gallery> Note: no need to write 100px or right./left

4. THE COMMON SCRIPTS:

1. [[ ]] - Placing words inside means that the words are found in Wikipedia. They will turn out blue if they are, an red if not.

2. {{ }} - this are used for ready-made template in Wiki - For example, placing SVD Schools on a page will show the list of schools in the Philippines. 3. ( ) - is just the same purpose as parenthesis 4. - putting text inside will hide the text from view
