Filippo Azzaiolo

Filippo Azzaiolo was a 16th century Italian composer. All his surviving compositions were composed between 1557 and 1569.
Azzaiolo's most famous piece is Chi passa, of which famous English composer William Byrd later adapted his own version.
The contemporary composer Panayiotis Demopoulos has also written a set of variations for woodwind quintet on the same vilotta, issued by Dunelm Records and published by anaeresis.
