[edit] History
Inter Bratislava was founded in 1940 by the Apollo refinery which was later renamed Slovnaft. Inter established itself as one of the strongest teams in the Czechoslovakian league a tradition which has been carried on into the independent state of Slovakia. In 1976, Inter sent one player to the triumphant European championship winning side in the former Yugoslavia, Ladislav Jurkemik. In more recent time Inter was able to complete the Slovakian double by winning both cup and league championship in 2001 and 2001.
