A Wikipedian removed Florida East Coast Railway from the good article list. There are suggestions below for improving areas to satisfy the good article criteria. Once the objections are addressed, renominate the article as a good article. If you disagree with the objections, you can seek a review.

If anyone has official documents with the branch names, that would be great. I've found very few sources for them. The only one I can be relatively sure about is the Mayport Branch, shown on a USGS topo, and probably the Moultrie Cutoff, mentioned by name on railfan sites.

Cidco Park Lead/Spur - west from the mainline just north of SR 528 in Cocoa
Dodge Island Spur - the end of the main line in Miami
Edgewater - Edgewater to Edgewater Jct

Kennedy & Cohen - somewhere in Miami
Lehigh Portland - somewhere in Bunnell
Lewis Terminal Spur - the northern connector to CSX in Riviera Beach
Market Spur - somewhere in Ft Pierce
Medley Lead - somewhere in Medley
Palatka Branch - St Augustine to Palatka
PEGL - somewhere in Ft Lauderdale
Sears Lead Track - somewhere in Pompano Beach
Airport Spur - somewhere in Melbourne
Titusville Branch - Titusville to Mims (this is sometimes referred to as the Enterprise Branch, which was recently torn up -- Erzahler 17:10, 25 July 2006 (UTC))
Vivanio Spur - somewhere in Miami

I've just reverted an anonymous edit from someone who changed the reference that was listed on the article. I used the reference listed, Last Train to Paradise, to verify some of the basic facts in the article when I first read the article. Therefore, it is a reference that was consulted for this article, and should be listed in the references section. If another reference was used for the same purposes, then by all means add a line for it, but don't remove the existing reference.

The second part of the edit was contact information for a specific person. I don't think that kind of information belongs on the article page. It's welcome here in the Talk page, but it doesn't seem appropriate for the article itself. slambo 19:36, Apr 2, 2005 (UTC)

I received an email reply from the editor who made the anonymous edits that states:

Speedway to Sunshine: The Story of the Florida East Coast Railway, is the OFFICIAL history of the FEC.

"the other book" has numerous errors and is a "historical novel." If you wish to leave it in, that is fine, and if you wish to remove my email, that is also fine, but for accuracy, I think and believe you should reinstate the information on "Speedway to Sunshine."

I have no reason to doubt the validity of the statements made by the other editor, so as far as I know, they are true. I don't have a copy of Speedway, but I'm requesting it from my local library. I encourage anyone who sees factual errors in this article to correct them, and add to the references (just don't remove references that were already used). I'm adding the Speedway details to a further reading section since it wasn't already listed as a reference and I haven't had a chance to read it myself. slambo 23:31, Apr 2, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] GA Re-Review and In-line citations

Members of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles are in the process of doing a re-review of current Good Article listings to ensure compliance with the standards of the Good Article Criteria. (Discussion of the changes and re-review can be found here). A significant change to the GA criteria is the mandatory use of some sort of in-line citation (In accordance to WP:CITE) to be used in order for an article to pass the verification and reference criteria. Currently this article does not include in-line citations. It is recommended that the article's editors take a look at the inclusion of in-line citations as well as how the article stacks up against the rest of the Good Article criteria. GA reviewers will give you at least a week's time from the date of this notice to work on the in-line citations before doing a full re-review and deciding if the article still merits being considered a Good Article or would need to be de-listed.
