"Leader of Men" (2000) |
"Fly" is the first ever single by Nickelback. Although not very successful, Nickelback started getting more famous at this time since the release of Curb, the album which "Fly" was re-released on.
[edit] Meaning
It is about Chad Kroeger as a kid, asking where bad men go when they die, and his mother tells him they grow wings and fly to Heaven or Hell. He is still mystified, though, and he wants to try to "fly" using his father's gun to kill himself to find and see where he goes.
[edit] Trivia
- "Fly" is the first single by Nickelback, but it didn't chart on any charts in the world.
- The drums featured in the song were played by the original drummer for Nickelback, Brandon Kroeger.
