Forensic meteorologist
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Weather Expert is also known as a Forensic Meteorologist whose job is to research weather events for a specific time and place in the past. This is usually required for weather-related incidents and accidents and is frequently used in civil and criminal cases and for insurance claims. Some cases range from a slip and fall down on snow and ice to a murder charge where weather may have played a factor. The results are found when a Forensic Weather Consultant performs a detailed analysis of the weather after acquiring official weather records from locations near or surrounding the incident location.
