Talk:Ford P platform
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If this article is refering to the new F-150 platform the plants listed are all wrong. The F-250/F-350 are not even on the old F-150 platform, while the Oakville plant listed is only building last-gen (Heritage) F-150s and will not switch to the new truck. OTOH the new plant at the Rough River complex is Detroit (with the cool green roof) is building new F-150s and isn't listed.
As for future vehicles the next Explorer Sport Track will most likely be build on the Explorer platform! OTOH the next-gen Expedition and Navigator are moving to this new platform (they currently sit on a platform unique from the F-150, which puts Ford at a cost disadvanatge vs. GM which has all their large pickups and SUVs on a single platform). -- stewacide
