From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Frampton is a village of 1,300 people in the La Nouvelle-Beauce Regional County Municipality, part of the Chaudière-Appalaches administrative region.
In 1844, the 1 662 inhabitants of Frampton were almost exclusively Irish and English speaking. But after 100 years, this Irish community had practically vansihed due to recessions, chain migrations to New England, Western Canada and Western United States and also assimilation to the French Canadian culture.[1]
