François de Bovet

François de Bovet (March 21, 1745;April 6, 1838) was bishop of Sisteron since 1789 and since 1817—archbishop of Toulouse.
He was conserated as bishop on . September 13, 1789 in Paris. Since the consecrator of him is not known and some of the bishops alive today can trace their episcopal lineage back to him, the person of François de Bovet is very important for the history of the Catholic Church. This so called de Bovet lineage includes few members of the episcopate in China.
