Franso Hariri Stadium

Franso Hariri Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Arbil, Iraq. It is currently used mostly for football matches and also has facilities for athletics. The stadium holds 40,000, making it the second largest in Iraq after the Al Shaab Stadium in Baghdad. It was built in 1992.
After assassination of Franso Heriri on February 18, 2001, who activlely supported rebuilding the stadium, Kurdistan Regional Government renamed it to his name.
