[edit] Deleted
I deleted this phrase "(張福林, pinyin: Zhāng Fùlín) " as the "Chinese name" is merely a cornotation of his name Franklin. It is in fact, misleading to say that it is a Chinese name. Wikizap 19:54, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)

- Franklin Chang-Diaz is listed as the "first Hispanic-American person" in space. Arnaldo Tamayo Méndez is also Hispanic and from the Americas. Shouldn't Chang-Diaz be listed as the first Hispanic-U.S. citizen in space? Arnaldo Tamayo Méndez was launched into space as a Cuban cosmonaut by the Soviet Union in 1980. [edit] Popularity in Costa Rica
- Friends told me that his popularity in Costa Rica is extraordinary. But I have not found a written source about this yet. Any idea where to look ?Hektor 09:10, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
I am Costa Rican and yes, everybody knows who he is. Someone should write about Ad Astra Rocket, located in Liberia, Guancaste
The main problem with that statment is that the references are mostly in Spanish. If you want to know about the popularity of Mr. Chang-Díaz, then search inside the main costarrican papers (www.nacion.com and diarioextra.com)--FrancescBlandino 18:51, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
