Fred Brathwaite (born November 24, 1975) is a Caribbean-Canadian ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League for the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Columbus Blue Jackets and Atlanta Thrashers.
Brathwaite was born in Ottawa, Ontario to parents who had emigrated to Canada from Barbados in 1964.
During his time playing for the Calgary Flames, Brathwaite became a fan-favourite. Chants of "Bath" was quite common after one of his acrobatic saves. He was traded to St.Louis by Flames' General Manager Craig Button as part of a controversial trade for goaltender Roman Turek.
Brathwaite currently playing for the Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League.
