Fred Tottey

Fred Tottey (Australia) a rugby league footballer who played in Australia leading competition the New South Wales Rugby League(NSWRL).
A winger, Tottey played 80 matches for Eastern Suburbs club in the years 1930-37. A member of Easts great sides of the 1930's, Tottey won back to back premierships with club in 1935, 1936 and 1937, in those 3 seasons the club lost just one match.
Fred Tottey still holds a amazing record in premiership history - scoring tries in 15 cosecutive matches.
Tottey represented Sydney and NSW but never Australia. He was selected for the 1937/38 Kangaroo Tour but somewhat ironically broke his ankle while representing NSW and had to withdraw fom the tour. following his recovery Tottey sighned with English club Halifax.
