Fredrik Virtanen

Karl Fredrik Virtanen (born November 15, 1971, in Motala, Östergötland County) is a Swedish journalist for the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and the host for the talk show Studio Virtanen on Swedish TV8. For Aftonbladet, he has been the New York correspondent, contributing with weekly columns about the life in the Big Apple, as well as an entertainment journalist, writing about e.g. Eurovision Song Contest. He has also done some gigs as a DJ in different clubs in Stockholm. Apart from that, he writes a blog which started out as a non-smoking campaign, where we got to follow his way into the life as a non-smoker. Even though he did not succeed in that mission, the blog grew big and is now published in book-form under the titel Olyckligt kär i ingen speciell (roughly translated to Unhappily in love with nobody in particular).
