Freq. Magnet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Freq. Magnet is a side-project of one of the members of Austere that first started releasing guitar-based musick in 2005. The word "Freq." is specifically abbreviated and meant only to be spelled that way, as to be pronounced "Freak Magnet", not "Frequency", so "Freq Magnet" and "Frequency Magnet" are incorrect.
Like the Austere philosophy of keeping the names of band members anonymous, the same holds true for this side-project, but the name "Monsieur Somniferum" has been used.
Musically speaking, Freq. Magnet focuses on ambient, drone, free-form musick using only guitars (electric and bass) with heavy effects processing and looping to build up long pieces.
