[edit] Biography
Paraíba, Cuper, Vavo and Lezo, all friends from school, formed the band in 1999, uploading their first acoustic compositions to the Internet and quickly gathering many fans. In 2001, the quartet recorded their first demo EP, O Acaso do Erro.
They went to studio once again in 2003 and recorded their first full-length album, Quarto dos Livros, highlighted by the tracks "Teu Semblante", "Carpe Diem" and "Stonehenge". The following year, it was released their second album, O Rio, a Cidade, a Árvore, which established Fresno on the web with the track Onde Está.
On June 24, 2006 there was the official release of their third and latest album, Ciano. The album features 14 tracks (including 3 bonus new versions to songs from Quarto dos Livros), clearly showing the group's evolution.
It was announced on October 26, 2006, on Fresno's official website, that former bassist Bruno Teixeira "Lezo", had voluntarily left the band due to personal reasons. One month later, on November 26, he explained, through an open letter, he had chosen to pursue his Law diploma instead of staying on the band. He also stated that he didn't find himself good enough a musician in comparison to his friends on Fresno, and he was sure the band would only improve with his departure. Rodrigo Tavares was chosen as the band's new bassist.
