My history techer claimed to have met the entire Welsh Republican Army, who numbered about half a dozen. Does anyone know if any such organisation ever exised?

I think the eagle is 'eryr gwyn' rather than 'eryr wen'. I have changed the article accordingly. However, there is a slim chance i'm wrong.

I've dug into the grammar a bit, and my impression has been reinforced:
'eryr' means 'eagle', and both 'gwyn' and 'wen' mean white, but the former is, to gloss over the details of Welsh grammar, the form used with masculine nouns, and the latter that with feminine nouns (okay, that's actually 'gwen', but the leading g gets removed by a soft mutation when following a feminine noun, see?). Since 'eryr' is masculine, 'eryr gwyn' is correct. However, i am by no means a Welsh speaker, so i could have the wrong end of the stick here. Both forms can be seen in the wild (ie on the intertron), in broadly similar numbers, which is weird.
Accordingly, i've gone back on my word, and haven't changed the article.
