Friedhelm Funkel (* 10 December 1953 in Neuss) is a German football manager and former player. He has two children. He has managed Eintracht Frankfurt since 2004. He led the club in the Bundesliga in the first season in charge. One year later he and the team avoided relegation and sensationally reached the German Cup final which sent them eventually to the UEFA Cup.
