User:Friejose
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Friejose, my handle, originates from the silly nomenclature that the Cornell Law School formerly used to create internal e-mail addresses. The word is created from the first four letters of my family name "Frie", the first three letters of my given name "jos", and my middle initial "e". Can you guess my name?
I initially added to the Hingham, Massachusetts and Red Sox Nation entries, although my favorite work is for the Hongosan entry. A secret fear of mine is that Hongosan will get deleted because I failed to grasp some important piece of WikiEsoterica. I will probably add to more entries subsequently in an attempt to procrastinate effectively. If, for some reason, you're interested in the WikiContributions I'm most proud of, well, now you know where to look.
[edit] Help me
The following articles are either ones I've run across or taken some kind of personal interest in, and I think they are subpar in some way. I don't mean that as an insult, especially since I've created some of them, but rather that they could use some significant copy editing, expansion, and/or other work. Help me make these articles better:
[edit] Amusements
For an amusing peek at how serious some Wikipedians can get, I suggest you check out the WikiAbsurdity at the Votes for Deletion page for The Fray. In the interest of full disclosure, let me state for the record that I am a frequent reader of Slate.com.
Perhaps the single best discussion page I have seen is the one for ennui, although it no longer holds my interest. Nevertheless, it's pure gold.
If you have a moment, and speak Greek, you may enjoy this exchange.

- Wow, I have gotten pretty much nothing done at work today due to my WikiAffliction. Posted at 22:20, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
I only go to Kate's edit counter, like, all the time. This also makes me sad (see sidebar).
I reached 500 edits (according to the aforementioned edit counter) on 22 August 2005.
